With James Corden’s eight-year stint as The Late Late Show host drawing to a close, the guests for its last couple of weeks have been revealed.

The show will wrap up on Thursday 27th April with movie legend Will Ferrell and pop icon Harry Styles joining Corden.

Both have featured on the chat show a number of times, with Elf star Ferrell’s most recent appearance being in June 2020 to promote his movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

Meanwhile, Harry Styles first appeared as part of One Direction in 2015, and went on to fill in for Carden as host a number of times, as well as being in various Carpool Karaoke segments and his own Crosswalk Concert. His last appearance was in season eight last year.

Whilst Harry will be on the last show, suggestions that One Direction might be reuniting for the occasion have been debunked.

Reacting to the rumours, the official Late Late Show Twitter account wrote: “Nobody loves the boys more than us … but this story just isn’t true. What is true is we’ve got an absolutely brilliant 2 hour finale planned to celebrate 8 years of #LateLateShow at 10pm on April 27th.”

There are some other cracking guests lined up for the final few episodes of the series as well, with Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and the legendary Tom Cruise set to appear. Elsewhere, one-man meme Ben Affleck will be on the show, as will Natalie Portman, Jennifer Garner and the Kardashian family.

Roy Kent from Ted Lasso - aka Brett Goldstein - will turn up as well, along with Kate Hudson, Mila Kunis, Josh Gad, Sharon Stone and more.

There will be regular segments too, such as a few more Carpool Karaokes and one Crosswalk: The Musical performance.

Gavin & Stacey star Corden has revealed that he wants to return to working in theatre once his time as a chat show host is done.
