TV and Frozen musical star Samantha Barks announced she's having a baby with husband Alex Stoll as she tells fans ‘we’ve been keeping a secret’.

Samantha Barks, the TV and Frozen musical star, shared exciting news with her fans, announcing that she and husband Alex Stoll are expecting a baby.

The actress, known for her role as Elsa in the West End production of Frozen and her debut appearance on the BBC's I'd Do Anything, posted a sweet reveal on 1st August.

The post featured a woven basket with a pair of white baby boots and a cuddly toy, along with a framed message inside the crib that read: "We have been keeping a tiny little secret. Baby Barks Stoll. Due October 2023."

Samantha continued to expressed her excitement, writing: "We are so excited to meet you little one."

Fans flooded the comments with congratulations and excitement for the couple.

Samantha's portrayal of Elsa struck a chord with her as she saw the character's journey in the Disney animated film.

Elsa's growth and self-empowerment resonated with Samantha, who appreciated the strength and bond between Elsa and her sister Anna.

Before her role as Elsa, Samantha gained acclaim for her performance as Éponine in Les Misérables in 2010, earning nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award.

In 2021, she got engaged to actor Alex Michael Stoll, whom she met during their time together in the Broadway production of Pretty Woman.

They tied the knot in a fairytale wedding in Tuscany last year.

Now, the couple eagerly awaits the arrival of their little one, and fans can't wait to share in their joy as they embark on this new chapter of parenthood.

Last year also saw Samantha and the rest of the cast of Frozen perform The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with cinch, delivering some amazing renditions of songs from the hit musical.

The critically-acclaimed West End has been running at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane and will continue to extend it's run for the foreseeable future.

Samantha Barks, who plays Elsa, last visited Virgin Radio in pre-Covid times. Speaking about the interim couple of years, she told Chris: “It was a really tough time for our industry, but I do feel like, because of that, there’s just such a joy in the theatre. There’s so much love and you can really feel that the audience is like, ‘We’ve missed this’, and we feel that energy."
