The daughter of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Fred Sirieix has admitted her dad is loving life in the jungle.

Fred is part of the latest cohort to travel Down Under for the ITV series, and is currently sharing the camp with reality star Sam Thompson, EastEnders actress Danielle Harold and JLS singer Marvin Humes

The first week of I’m A Celeb has been a bit of a bumpy one for the First Dates star, who found himself calling out former UKIP leader Nigel Farage for his role in Brexit, and landed in hot water with YouTuber Nella Rose

Despite the rather tumultuous first few days with his campmates, Fred’s daughter Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix has revealed her famous father is actually having the time of his life.

While chatting to talkSPORT on the red carpet at the Team GB Ball, the professional diver admitted: “I do miss him. Instead of seeing him in person, it's nice to see him on the TV, but he's really enjoying himself. I know he is and he was so excited. So it's just nice seeing him have fun.”

When asked if she felt nervous watching her dad enter the jungle, the Commonwealth Games star replied: “I'm not nervous, because I know that he's enjoying himself. I do miss him though.

“It's great TV. It's my first time watching. It's things that I would never want to do. But I like watching, it’s very entertaining.”

Fred found himself in a back-and-forth with former MEP Farage on Tuesday (21st November) and accused the politician of “shameful” tactics during the 2016 Brexit referendum.

Fred, who is French but has lived in the UK for years, hit back at Nigel’s time as leader of UKIP, where he was the lead behind the controversial immigration poster that became a focal point of the Leave campaign.

Confronting Nigel, TV star Fred said: “What's the benefit of Brexit then? If you are an average person from Britain, what's the benefit?"

Farage replied: "To know that we're independent, we stand on our own two feet in the world."

“Brexit was about immigration,” Fred quickly retorted. “I remember your poster. I thought it was shameful what you did Nigel. Shameful.”

Farage then hit back, claiming the poster was “absolutely true.”

Time will tell if Fred will gel with his newest campmates - Boxing pro Tony Bellew and celebrated jockey Frankie Dettori

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Sunday-Friday at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV.
