Comedy geezer and now also a Hollywood actor, Tom Davis, took some time out to loom backdown memory lane and share with us some of his FIRSTS experiences.

When the top stand up Tom Davis appeared on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with cinch to announce a major comedy tour and his appearance in the upcoming Wonka film, where he made a rather big impression on his first day, he also joined us in a reminisce.

Jovial and jokey as always, Tom had some friendly banter with our crew while he looked back at one particularly impressive first concert and managed to make some of his other more mundane memories seem just as interesting, you'll see what we mean.

Watch Tom Davis' Firsts here:

First concert you went to?

I think it was Oasis at main road. Absolutely banging gig, incredible to be there. Still probably my first, maybe my best ever gig I've ever been to.

First comedian you saw live?

I saw Lee Evans at Wembley, which was incredible. But the first really meaningful one like, that [Lee Evans] was amazing, but I saw Micky Flanagan at the backyard club in East London. And that was a sort of gig that changed my life really watching Mickey. It was a small intimate gig before he had a big time. And that was the thing that really made me go 'I kind of want to give that a try.' It's a pretty amazing thing.

First album you bought?

I saved up tokens from Weetabix and got like a Weetabix compilation album. Can't remember many of the songs, Dexys Midnight Runners, Come On Eileen was on there. So that was sort of on repeat, rewind quite a lot. Love that tune still now.

First TV show you loved?

This is an easy one, The A-Team! Still up there for me, still one of the greatest shows of all time. If there's a remake to be done, shout me because that's the one that's the dream!

First film you remember seeing?

That would be, there was an old like, I think it was like from the 60s or 70s, Swiss Family Robinson. We used to go to a place called Joyce's video shop and she had videos and also sold wool and sewing materials. She had about five films and one of them was Swiss Family Robinson. So we used to sort of get that like every weekend, I knew it all off by heart. That and The Cross and the Switchblade. Oh, it's good. The Cross and the Switchblade: the story of Nicky Cruz, which is a religious film. We weren't religious but check it out. It's a good film if you want to change opinion and change your life.

First time you appeared on stage?

First time I appeared on stage in front of an audience was a school play. And I was like a tree, I had to sort of hold the top of the tree. It's quite an easy job, really. But I managed to mess it up by dropping the tree I was holding on to the rest of the set and knocking down the whole set. And sort of then tried to sort of laugh it off, but ruining the play for everyone. All the parents found it hilarious. But then never stepped back on the boards, probably for about another 20 years.

First poster you had on your bedroom wall?

I think it was an A-Team poster actually, going back to the A-Team thing. It would have been yeah, it was an amazing one. It was like BA at the bottom, Hannibal at the top. The Face and Murdoch, riding sides. It was yeah. Man I love The A-Team.

First football match you went to?

I went to, I believe it was Fulham versus Gillingham and Fulham were in the Third Division at the time, it was at Craven Cottage. I went with my dad. It was like yeah, I was young. And it was like an amazing game. Yeah, probably there was sort of, I decided I want bigger things, better things than Fulham and chose West Ham.

First Christmas present you remember?

I was obsessed with Postman Pat as a kid. So my granddad got me a secondhand Action Man, in what he thought was a postman's outfit, but actually, it was sort of yeah was actually a Nazi outfit he was in so it was a weird toy to play with as a kid.
