Queen Of Pop Madonna has opened up about a recent harrowing health scare when she 'passed out on her bathroom floor’ and had to be rushed into intensive care following a bacterial infection.

The singer, who is now in the middle of her 78-show worldwide tour until April 2024, has revealed the scary incident. She admitted she is 'lucky to be alive' after 'strenuously rehearsing and putting in 12-hour days' in preparation for her tour.

She was found unresponsive in her New York home by her Kabbalah teacher, Eitan Yardeni, who remained with her during her 48-hour induced coma.

Telling fans about the ordeal during her gig at New York's Barclays Center over the weekend, Madonna said it’s a ‘miracle’ she’s still with us.

She said: "The fact that I’m here right now is the f*****g miracle. There are some people in this room tonight that were with me in the hospital.

"There is one very important woman who dragged me to the hospital… I passed out on my bathroom floor and I woke up in the ICU."

“When I first became conscious, I saw my six incredible children sitting in the lobby,” Madonna previously told Page Six.

“By the way, I had to almost die to get all my kids in one room — I know it’s kind of funny.

“But they were all pretty scared and I didn’t understand what was going on.”

Speaking about her own mother, who died from breast cancer aged 30, the singer said: “She was by herself.

“And I was thinking, ‘What if I left my children?’ That would destroy me to leave my children at this moment in their lives.

“I wasn’t thinking about me. I was thinking about them, and I was thinking about my mother and how scared she must have been to know that she was going to leave us all behind.”

She added: “I don’t take any of this s**t for granted."

A source told UsWeekly last month about the mum-of-six: "Madonna’s kids didn’t want her to push herself too soon, but they know music is her passion and that she was determined to go on tour. They trust that she’s listening to her body and will be taking things easy if need be."
