The Apprentice's two most recent fired candidates turn business partners as the show goes from boardroom break ups to corporate matchmaker.
*There are massive Apprentice spoilers ahead if you’re not up to date with this series*
In last night's (4th April) episode, the remaining players were tasked with creating a new vegan cheese brand. In the end, it was Foluso Falade and Steve Darken who were the latest contestants to leave the boardroom.
In a surprising turn of events though, the two fired candidates have revealed plans for a joint business venture, likening their partnership to a 'corporate Love Island.'
Foluso Falade and Steve Darken, who departed the show in the most recent episode, spoke exclusively to virginradio.co.uk about their new collaborative project.
The entrepreneurial duo, despite their early exit from the boardroom, are optimistic about their future together.
Foluso shared insights into their budding partnership, emphasising the complementary nature of their skills.
"So it's myself and Steve, actually," she revealed. "He's decided to join the branding journey with my business. So we're going to do this together. Honestly, I think with my creative experience and his corporate experience, it's gonna be amazing."
Their unexpected alliance showcases the unique networking opportunities presented by The Apprentice.
"And I wouldn't have met him without the show," Foluso reflected, drawing parallels to the popular reality dating series.
"It's like corporate Love Island, you know?"
Who knew Lord Sugar's show had such matchmaking potential?
Steve echoed Foluso's sentiments, highlighting the valuable connections made during their Apprentice journey.
"I met some fantastic people, friends for life, which is great," he shared. "And it's also opened a few more doors for me as well."
Their joint venture not only marks a professional collaboration but also underscores the impact of The Apprentice on their entrepreneurial paths.
So just what exactly is this business the two will be working on? Steve was more than happy to explain.
He said: "I think the first day I met her, she told me about our business plan. I learnt about her personality, and I thought, what a wonderful person and what a wonderful idea.
"I think it's something that's really needed in society, she's got this social enterprise for young people.
"And I just asked like, 'Is this something I can be a part of?'. So we're figuring out figuring that out how we're going to work together on that. But you know, she's, she's the boss, she's the creative genius behind it."
Steve then went onto also detail his newfound opportunities, including joining the board of Tag Management, a female sports agency, highlighting how the show has propelled his entrepreneurial spirit forward.
Their partnership serves as a testament to the unexpected outcomes of reality television and the potential for collaboration beyond the boardroom.
As Foluso and Steve embark on their entrepreneurial venture, their story highlights the resilience and adaptability of aspiring business leaders, proving that even in the competitive world of The Apprentice, lasting partnerships can emerge.
The Apprentice airs Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
