Over three decades since they appeared as kids in Mrs Doubtfire, stars from the hit family movie have met up - and they've shared a photo on social media.

It’s been 31 years since the 1993 comedy classic first won audiences’ hearts with its tale of a newly-divorced father (Williams), who disguises himself as an elderly British female housekeeper in order to trick his ex-wife Miranda (played by Sally Field) into hiring him to take care of their children. Much hilarity ensued and heartstrings were suitably tugged.

Indeed, Mrs Doubtfire was such a smash that It became the second-highest-grossing film of 1993, behind only Jurassic Park.

Now, Lisa Jakub (who played 14-year-old Lydia Hillard), Matthew Lawrence (who played 12-year-old Christopher Hillard, and Mara Wilson (who played 5-year-old Natalie Hillard) have got together.

At the grand old age of 36, Mara - who went on to play the titular character in Matilda - posted a photo on her Instagram page and wrote: “So funny that the same week I went to San Francisco, I got to reunite with my Doubtfire siblings! It’s always a joy to see @lisa.jakub and @matthewlawrence.”

Fans were quick to comment on the photo, with one writing: “Omg my childhood in a photo 😭❤️”

Another added: “Love that you have all kept in touch. ❤❤❤”

Someone else wrote: “This makes my heart happy ❤️”

In related news, when Aussie actor Rebel Wilson joined the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with webuyanycar this week, she recalled her “beautiful experience” with Robin Williams . Speaking about working with the comedy legend, who sadly died in 2014 at the age of 63, she said: “He was watching me do a scene with Ben Stiller, improvising, and he's like, ‘You could do drama, as well as comedy.’

“I'm looking at his face, he's like the kindest, most gorgeous man and he's giving me some compliments. It was such a beautiful, beautiful experience that I got to have that interaction with him that night.”

She told Chris: “I'm getting emotional thinking about it.”
