Cobra Kai is saying goodbye and is supersizing its farewell, as its sixth and final season will be split into three parts.

Netflix has revealed that the last outing for the Karate Kid spin-off will be a “three-part event” and has let fans know when they will be able to say goodbye to their favourite characters.

Season six of the popular series will be made up of 15 episodes, and will be split into five-episode chunks, the first of which will premiere on 18th July.

Then, there is a bit of a wait for the next five episodes, which will land on 28th November.

The final five episodes of the series will arrive in 2025, although an exact date has yet to be announced.

“The end of a legacy deserves a grand finale,” the Cobra Kai X account said in making the announcement.

We will rejoin our goodies (and baddies), with Cobra Kai having been driven out of the Valley at the end of season five. The official description for the new season reads: “Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate.”

Ralph Macchio will be back as Daniel LaRusso. He played the character back in the original Karate Kid films, and returned as an adult for the Netflix series.

The same applies to William Zabka, who will once again play Johnny Lawrence.

Other actors reprising their roles from the Karate Kid film franchise include Martin Kove and Yuji Okumoto.

“I love the smell of Karate in the afternoon,” says Daniel in the teaser trailer.

“We’re not giving up without a fight,” Johnny says.
