Hairy Bikers star Si King has taken to social media to share this thanks after receiving another huge award with late friend Dave Myers.

The telly chef attended the Fortnum and Mason Food and Drink Awards 2024 last night (2nd May) to pick up the Personalities of the Year prize, which honoured Si alongside Hairy Biker Dave. It marked the third year in a row the pair had won the fan-voted category.

Sadly, co-star Dave passed away aged 66 in February following his cancer diagnosis in 2022, and Si has since shared his thanks to fans for their ongoing support as he continues their legacy both on and off-screen.

Taking to Instagram, Si shared two photos from the Fortnum and Mason event and wrote how this honour in particular is a stand-out moment for him.

He captioned the post: “Can’t thank everyone enough for voting for us - we only went and won again! But this one really is very special.”

Friends and fans rushed to share their support in the Instagram comments, with fellow telly food expert James Martin writing: “See you soon pal .. big love and congratulations.”

Chef Marcus Bean added: “Well deserved x”

The Hairy Bikers’ win comes just a few days Si thanked fans for their support upon the release of their latest cookbook, The Hairy Dieters' Fast & Fresh.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Si shared his appreciation for the immense support received for their newest culinary venture.

He revealed: "I've just had the news that we're number one - but not just number one in food and drink, we're [also] number one in the bestsellers chart."

Grateful for the unwavering support, Si continued: "Honestly it means such a great deal and [it's] particularly fitting at the moment, so thanks so much."
