Ant McPartlin’s ITV co-stars have rushed to share their love after he announced the arrival of his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbett.

The Saturday Night Takeaway host took to the shared Ant and Dec Instagram account to announce the sweet news that he and Anne-Marie had welcomed their baby to the world, and dished on the details of their adorable name too.

Ant uploaded a black and white snap of him holding their precious newborn, and wrote in the caption: Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am.

“Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”

Ant’s showbiz friends were quick to send their congratulations to the star, with The Masked Singer judge Davina McCall, writing in the comments: "Arggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!! This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you."

Comedian Joel Dommett added: “LOVE THIS!”, while Dancing on Ice’s Holly Willoughby added: “Congratulations… welcome to the world Wilder… such beautiful news.”

Ant’s Britain’s Got Talent co-star Alesha Dixon shared the love, adding: "Awwwww darling I'm so happy for you both! Baby shares the same birthday as my mummy! Can't wait to meet buba and to celebrate soon! Love you both."

I’m A Celebrity alumni Scarlett Moffatt wrote: "Awwww congratulations this is just wonderful news, and such a beautiful name.”

Ant and wife Anne-Marie married in 2021 and were rumoured to be expecting their first baby together. Anne-Marie also has two teenage children from a previous relationship.

The Geordie star and telly partner Dec recently wrapped up their beloved weekend series Saturday Night Takeaway in order to spend more time with their families.

Announcing the news of SNT’s break, Ant and Dec said at the time that ending on the 20th milestone was the “perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath”.

Talking to Fault magazine, McPartlin said: “Part of the reason we’re pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family. We’ve both got children that we need to spend time with for a little bit.”

The Limitless host added: “We need time to think and, and time to step back and look at the bigger picture and just see where we are now.

“‘Like I say, we’re turning 49, and what do we want to do next? What’s the next phase of our career?”

“And we’ve got lots of ideas and lots of offers on the table, lots of options of things we can do. But it’s working on what we do next and where the next chapter begins.”

Congratulations to Ant and Anne-Marie!
