Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have proven yet again they're musical powerhouses with the latest teaser trailer for Wicked.

The official Wicked social media accounts gave fans an even better look at just how impressive both Grande and Erivo will be when they share the big screen as Glinda and Elphaba.

Fans have been going mad for the staggeringly impressive vocals of both Grande and Erivo in the 30-second feature, which teases the massive tunes of Popular and Defying Gravity.

Both singers give their very best to belt out the humongous notes, while also hinting at the drama to come.

One fan wrote on X in response: “ THAT VOICE?????????,” while another said: “their voices are so beautiful i can’t wait to hear the full soundtrack.”

“THEIR VOICES ARE UNMATCHED,” a third exclaimed.

Wicked, released in November, will be one of two parts of the big-screen adaptation of the beloved 2003 musical of the same name. It’s based on the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire and features characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The Wicked musical acts as a prequel to the events of The Wizard of Oz and tells the sympathetic story of how Elphaba becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. The film will also star Everything Everywhere All At Once’s Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero.

While little else is known about what’s to come in the first half of Wicked, Miss Coddle star Keala Settle recently dished to virginradio.co.uk about what’s to come.

According to The Masked Singer star, fans just aren’t ready for what Grande and Erivo are bringing to the big screen.

While having to keep her cards close to her chest, Keala revealed in February: “What I can tell you is the duo that has created the storyline, visually, which is the director Jon M. Chu, and his Director of Photography, Alice Brooks, have been working together for quite a while now. I've watched the progress and their career, because they’re originally from the US, and so to see it all conglomerate in [the first] trailer, I thought to myself, ‘it doesn't get any better than this storytelling-wise.’

“They're incredible with their craft, and the way they curate and present these stories. It's just next level, and I'm so proud of them, and proud to be involved in it.”

Keala then praised “absolutely incredible” co-stars Cynthia and Ariana, and urged that the “world is not ready” for the spectacle.

She continued: “They’re not ready, but they'll have to be because we got to have two of them coming. It’s on a massive level. It was such a pleasure to work on and we filmed it here in the UK for the most part. It’s a privilege to even be counted among them. It’s gonna be great.”

Wicked is out in cinemas 27th November.
