What happened in the Frasier reboot season 1?

The relaunched series followed Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life after he returned to Boston shortly after the death of his father, Martin Crane and the end of his nearly 20-year relationship with Charlotte.

Having hosted a Chicago television show, Dr. Frasier Crane headed back to his Boston roots in the hope of having a better relationship with his son, Frederick (Jack Cutmore-Scott), now a Boston firefighter.

Will there be season two of the Frasier reboot?

Yes indeed!

In February 2024, it was confirmed that there will be a second season of Frasier.

Kelsey Grammer, who also serves as executive producer, said: “Frasier is a love story, and I am very happy we will be allowed to continue it. I’m delighted that our partners at CBS Studios and Paramount+ are on board for another season, and I can’t wait for the fans to see what we have in store!”

When is Frasier season two out?

Frasier season 2 premieres on Thursday 19th September 19, 2024 with two episodes on Paramount+ in the USA.

It will then land the next day, 20th September 2024 on Paramount+ UK.

Is there a trailer for Frasier season two?

Not yet, but here’s the season one trailer to remind you of what has happened so far.

What will Frasier season two be about?

At this stage, there aren’t too many details on what season two will bring, but Deadline reports that one episode will see Frasier return to KACL radio station in Seattle for an episode.

We can also expect him to continue to forge his relationship with his son, and get into scrapes with his Alan (Nicholas Lyndhurst), his old college buddy turned university professor, and (Olivia) Toks Olagundoye, the head of the university’s psychology department.

Who will be in Frasier season two?

As well as Grammer, Cutmore-Scott, Lyndhurst and Olagundoye returning, Jess Salgueiro will be back as Eve, Frasier and Freddy’s neighbour, and Anders Keith will reprise his role as Niles and Daphne’s son, David.

Excitingly, Peri Gilpin, who starred as Roz Doyle in the original Frasier and in season one, will be back, while Greer Grammer will play Roz’s daughter Alice.

Additional guest stars also include Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Patricia Heaton and Amy Sedaris, while the episode set in Seattle will feature Dan Butler as Bulldog, Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton and Harriet Sansom Harris as Bebe Glazer.

So, get ready for more tossed salad and scrambled eggs, because Frasier is coming back!
