Bastille on new album 'Wide World' - 'It's a proper brain fart!'

Bastille will release new album in September – and Virgin Radio has been told it’s a ‘proper brain fart of anything and everything’.

Their debut album was at No.1 in the UK album charts for three weeks and went platinum, and expectations about their new record are equally high.

It’s been three years in the making, and the band admit it “goes through a lot of genres”.

“It’s a proper brain fart of anything and everything,” singer Dan Smith told Edith Bowman. “We’re really excited about it, and excited about people hearing it.

“We’re really comfortable being completely genre-less and unidentifiable.”
