Record label responds to rumours of Arctic Monkeys performing at TRNSMT Festival

Arctic Monkeys' record label has responded to rumours that they may be making an appearance at TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow.

Unfortunately for fans, it seems the rumours aren't true, as Domino Records told NME: “There are no plans for Arctic Monkeys to be in Scotland at the weekend.”

Yesterday (July 5), Twitter account Absolute Anthems had said: "Arctic Monkeys rumoured to be making their reunion at TNRSMT Festival in Glasgow, Scotland this Saturday."

It was thought the band would perform after Kasabian on Saturday (July 8) at 11pm.

But TRNSMT Festival has a curfew of 11pm, which is 10 minutes after Kasabian are due to close their performance. So the idea seems, sadly, unlikely.
