Sir Paul McCartney has written a song about Donald Trump

Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed he has written a song about Donald Trump. 

The Liverpool Echo says the song about the controversial US President will appear on the legend's new album, to be released later this year. 

The paper is reporting the news was confirmed at McCartney's annual appearance at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA).

However, it is reported The Beatles singer didn't specify how critical the song would be about the US President. 

We imagine it's going to be fairly condemnatory, however, given the singer is not a fan of Trump. Earlier this month, in fact, he accused the President of unleashing the "ugly side of America."
