Ed Sheeran posts update after being hit by a car

Ed Sheeran sent fans into panic by revealing he'd been hit by a car today (October 16), but has posted an update online about his health.

He said: "I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x”

The singer has also uploaded a photo of his injured arm on Instagram, NME said.

It is thought the incident took place this morning whilst the singer was cycling in London and although fans are relieved he's ok enough to be posting online, his upcoming tour dates may be affected.

He is due to perform in Taiwan next week and will then travel to South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore.
