The Libertines, Lightning Seeds and more announced for Victorious Festival

Victorious Festival has revealed the bill for its opening night, with sets from The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs, Shed Seven and Lightning Seeds.

This is the first confirmed 2018 festival date for The Libertines, who are set to release a new album in Spring next year.

The Southsea festival takes place during August Bank Holiday weekend (24-26 Aug), and is described as a ‘family friendly experience with the best live acts, an enormous free kids arena, bustling markets, real ale, real food and an atmosphere not to be missed’.

Festival director Andy Marsh says: “Our Friday night opening party was such a hit last year it made sense to do it again but make it even better. We’ve gone for a solid line-up of absolute indie legends.’

“We’re going to announce the full weekend bill very shortly – and it’s going to be spectacular – but we couldn’t wait to reveal Friday, it’s going to be some party!”
