As Pearl Jam continue the US stint of their tour they're causing quite the stir

They received backlash last week from a poster they released promoting their upcoming concert in Missoula, Montana. It depicts US President Donald Trump's skeleton in front of the burning White House.

Also pictured was Democrat Senator for Montana, Jon Tester, riding a tractor through the skies, as well as his running opponent Republican Matt Rosendale holding the state flag with a crab claw.

This has caused quite the backlash from fans, with some requesting the american radio station cancel their Pearl Jam station, Sirius XM. Some fans however supported the Seattle rock band, threatening to cancel their supscriptions to Sirius XM if the band's station was in fact removed.

Jeff Ament, Pearl Jam's bassist who was responsible for designing the poster, has issued a statement in response to the criticism:

“The role of artists is to make people think and feel, and the current administration has us thinking and feeling...I was the sole conceptualist of this poster, and I welcome all interpretations and discourse. Love, from the First Amendment, Jeff Ament.”

Meanwhile on tour, the band covered David Bowie's seminal 'Rebel Rebel' during a show in Chicago. Watch the footage below.
