It had been reported that the Oscar-winning Queen biopic would be getting a revisit on the big screen, but Adam Lambert has quashed these reports, saying that a sequel wouldn’t make sense.
In an interview with NME, the singer, who has toured alongside Queen since 2012, has rubbished the sequel idea, saying “A sequel? How would that work? It doesn’t make sense to me but I haven’t heard anything about it”.
He went on to say “I don’t know what they would make the movie about.”
The rumours were amplified when Queen’s frequent video director Rudi Dolezal claimed that sequel plans were in progress. Dolezal claimed a follow up movie will detail the journey of Queen after their iconic 1985 Live Aid performance.
Neither Queen or its management have supported these sequel claims.
