There's no question that The Rolling Stones are UK rock royalty, having had an incredible career that has spanned more than 50 years

After their three year long 'No Filter' tour came to a close last month, it has now been calculated exactly just how much money the rockers made - and it's a very significant amount.

According to Billboard Boxscore, the tour grossed $415.6 million and sold 2,290,871 tickets in total. Perhaps unsurprisigly, this means that the 'No Filter' tour has made into the top 10 grossing tours in Boxcore's history.

The Rolling Stones' 2005-7 'A Bigger Bang' tour has officially grossed more than the recent 'No Filter' tour, however the 'No Filter' tour has still made it to the number eight spot in the top grossing tours of all time list.

'A Bigger Bang' has only been surpassed by U2's '360' tour in 2011 and more recently Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' tour.
