Many thought that might be a bit of wash-out this year after the pandemic forced them to relocate from the Australian Jungle to a derelict castle in Wales.

Fans have been pleasantly surprised to find that the tasks are as fiendish as ever with plenty of near-hysterical performances - shrieking, swearing, and a new "happy place, happy place, Turf Moor" catchphrase.

Newly crowned Camp Leader, Jordan North, is finally getting a break from the trauma of tasks (entertaining viewers by eating gravy by the spoonful in the process) and Victoria Derbyshire is now deputy.

Viewers voted for Jessica Plummer and Aj Pritchard to face tonight's task, visiting the "Harm-ory".

In a teaser for the challenge, Jessica can be reassuring pro-dancer Aj as they crawl through pitch-black bug-infested tunnels to try to find the other.

As Aj shouts her name in fear, Jess can be heard calmly, but firmly, telling Aj to focus and assuring him that he can do it, and persuading him not to freak out as Ant and Dec barely suppress their laughter.

Before the teaser clip, viewers had been quick to judge saying that Jess would be the one screaming after a few tearful episodes in camp, but fans have been tweeting support.

"Just shows I saw so many nasty comments last night towards jess saying how she's just going to freak out and let aj down. We shouldn't be so quick to judge" said one, while another added, "I think the more she reassures AJ, the more it would help reassure herself and we all do that! I hope people that were saying nasty stuff about her think twice. It's very easy to judge from the comfort of our own home"

Someone else confessed: "Can't wait for this. And here I am, thinking that AJ is gonna be the calm one, and Jess is gonna be freaking out. How's the tables have turned"

How do you think you would cope in one of the trials?
