Veganuary has seen a whole host of new vegan additions arriving on shelves in supermarkets, and one sandwich has been a runaway success for M&S.

Thousands of people sign up each year to give up meat, dairy and animal by-products, and you might have noticed an increase in plant-based products when doing your food shopping.

M&S has a vegan range called Plant Kitchen, and they've expanded it greatly this month.

One of the biggest successes has been their vegan version of a salt beef sandwich.

Since it arrived in store on January 4th, M&S say they've sold one every 30 seconds!

The Plant Kitchen New York pretzel roll with no Salt Beef is £3.50. M&S describe it as being made of " succulent marinated wheat and vegetable protein, tart sauerkraut, carrot and spring onion slaw, pickled dill cucumber, mustard dressing and coconut-based cheese on a traditional pretzel roll."

One Instagram fan posted: "When I say this was incredible, I mean incredible ... 10/10"

Someone else said: "I was blown away by this salt beef deli sandwich ... maybe the best thing I have ever tasted."

Have you tried them?

The new sandwich isn't the only thing getting people excited, they've added a Plant Kitchen Vegan Cookie too. You can find it in the M&S in-store bakery. It also sold one every 30 seconds on launch day.

The Plant Kitchen vegan chocolate chip cookie is a "soft, gooey vegan-friendly cookie packed with Belgian chocolate chips" and even better, they're only 75p each
