Myleene Klass has the unenviable task of tackling the ice on the new series of the ITV show - and her friend Holly Willoughby thinks she can win the entire contest.

Dancing On Ice starts on Sunday and will see a range of celebrities in the ice-off hoping to win the coveted title.

This Morning host Holly said she thinks Myleene's pop star background will give her some extra sparkle to help win. She told viewers: “I am going for Myleene.

“I think she has got musicality because she is a musician.

“She is a performer anyway and I just think she is going to fall in love with it. That’s my little insider tip.”

Holly and Phillip Schofield have hosted the show since 2006 and are back again for the 2021 series - but it's her three children, Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, six, who are most excited about the new show.

She added: “Trying to find something to watch as a family where we are all sitting around the telly watching something together is not that easy.

“There is the Masked Singer, and thank God for that, but it is really tricky to find those shows.

“As a parent I am so grateful for this show coming back as it is proper family viewing that everyone can just sit down and enjoy and be together.

“It’s January, it’s been rubbish, it’s been horrible. We need a bit of escapism.”

Other celebrities taking part include Jason Donovan, Faye Brookes, Rufus Hound and Rebekah Vardy with skating royalty judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean plus Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman.
