Keen or just pure crazy? Would you believe that one third of British daters have said the three little words to someone - before meeting them in real life.
A poll of 2,000 adults found that 47 per cent of people believe in love at first (online) sight and a third of Brit daters have told someone “I love you” – when they've only met them from behind the screen.
It's thought that after 13 dates online during the past romance-killing pandemic, online partners have found hacks to keep the fire burning in lockdown.
Popular dates online include movie nights with 41 per cent opting for a film while 26 per cent of new lovers watch TV shows together like they're in the same room.
Then there's online quizzing for 23 per cent of new daters, while 28 per cent listen to music together. Other new couples have tackled virtual wine tasting together, keeping fit and painting. Each other? Maybe.
The findings by Vision Direct concluded that daters are sure whether the relationship has legs or not after just four online dates. Other more brutal/honest daters (33 per cent) have ditched potential partners before even meeting them in real life.
