Can't decide what to have for dinner? How about a battered chip butty

The internet can be a weird and wonderful place, but it's also great for inspiration.

A chip shop has gone viral after sharing a video of their battered chip butty.

Demand was so high, that they sold out of bread rolls over the last few days. 

Young fish and chip shop in Hartlepool uploaded a video to Tiktok of how they make the deep-fried delicacy, not expecting it to do as well as it has.

They wrote on Facebook: "Since our battered chip buttie has had so many unexpected views and likes , we have decided to put it on the menu starting tomorrow. These will be sold for £2 with a choice of curry gravy, beans or homemade mushy peas."

It's had nearly six thousand comments so far.

"Omg that looks amazing all it needs to make it better is some grated cheese in with that gravy" drooled one commenter.

"My son went in yesturday and said they're unreal with curry in" added another.
