Could Gazza be appearing on our screens for another helping of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here? The infamous footballer has finished his time on the Italian show after dislocating his shoulder during a challenge - but he's up for getting back on the TV quicker than you can say L’Isola dei Famosi.
He told ITV’s Good Morning Britain about being on the UK version: “I know Harry (Redknapp, who won I’m A Celebrity in 2018) did fantastic on there. Something like that is OK.
"I suffer a bit from claustrophobia and snakes, I’m not too scared of flying after the helicopter flying (on the Italian show).
“I had a few interviews for that show.
“I think I took advantage of lockdown but I think I did two months in total of lockdown over here and then in Honduras and then in Mexico.
“That would be something I would look forward to doing, but I leave that to Katie, my manager.”
He added about rowing with contestants on the show: “Obviously I did have the arguments with them but that was because they were complaining about now wanting a little bit of rice, but look at what’s happening around the world.”
Paul told the GMB hosts about having to quit: "My shoulder popped out but I didn't say anything and popped it back in myself.
"Then the next day it popped out again. But then there was this challenge. I asked someone if they'd do it instead and he said, well I won't say what he said, he said "F, O".
"I thought, OK I'm going to do it. I felt my shoulder growl, and thought 's***'.
"I've had loads of operations so I knew when I'd got to hospital I was going to get some food and cigarettes. I was more than happy."
