From Loki to low key, the BBC is getting another A-list narrator for their CBeebies Bedtime Story slot. This time it's The Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston reading Supertato debuting on June 25.
The Marvel antihero is the latest in a long line of top celebs signing up to read for the channel and he'll be getting his vocals round the story based on a superhero potato and a supervillain pea, written by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet.
The God of Mischief actor says: “Tonight’s bedtime story is all about a supervillain. This guy is really naughty, very cheeky… and bright green.
“But never fear, because where there’s trouble, a superhero is sure to follow.”
TV presenter Cat Deeley is also appearing on the show in time for Father’s Day (June 20) reading Love Makes A Family by Sophie Beer.
She said: “I love reading to my boys and they equally love watching CBeebies, so I was thrilled to be invited and actually get to read a real story this time.
“We had lots of fun on set with magical unicorns and dancing vegetables but, thankfully, no giant Geordie koalas!”
The pair follow in the star-studded footsteps of Sir Elton John, Dolly Parton, Tom Hardy, Rege-Jean Page, Felicity Jones and Oti Mabuse.
