The game show will be off the air for the third night running as a result of disruption caused by Storm Arwen.

For the first time in 18 years, the live show had to be taken off air this weekend after extreme weather conditions caused damage to the production base at Gwrych Castle in North Wales.

Rumours of the Monday night’s show being cancelled were confirmed on This Morning by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

However, the show has promised it will be back Tuesday evening in a tweet from the I'm A Celebrity Twitter page.

They said: "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here will return from tomorrow night with a brand new show. Ant and Dec will be back presenting live from the Castle."

In an update from hosts of the show, Ant and Dec, posted to social media over the weekend, they said: "The site was quite badly damaged during the storm and they are in there, working round the clock to try and get it back up and running and up to speed so we can get back on air as quickly as humanly possible."

The celebrities of the reality show were also removed on Saturday and will remain away from the castle while the crew work to fix the technical difficulties caused by Storm Arwen.

A statement from ITV over the weekend also said: "Whilst we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle."

In place of the usual live episodes, ITV aired a compilation of highlights from past series, which will probably happen again tonight.

The news comes just a week after Richard Madeley was forced to quit the show after a hospital trip.
