Fans of the Apple TV+ show will be thrilled with this news.

The streaming service has just announced The Morning Show has been renewed for a third series, with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon back to star and executive produce the TV production drama.

Apple shared the news over Twitter, writing: “Start spreading the news @TheMorningShow will return for a third season."

Jennifer will be back as Alex Levy on the drama, which portrays the harsh realities of the world of American breakfast shows.

The Friends star had previously shared her hopes to expand her role behind-the-scenes should the show come back for a third series.

Previously speaking with Harper’s Bazaar, she said: “If there's a Season 3 of The Morning Show, I want to direct one of our episodes.”

Jennifer is likely keeping her fingers crossed things will be very different when cameras start back up. In the same interview, Jennifer revealed how tricky it was filming series number two while also keeping safe in the coronavirus pandemic.

She continued: “We were in masks while we were rehearsing, and then these shields, and I didn't see my crew members' faces, and we couldn't say good morning with a hug. We're all a very loving, tactile group of people, and it was strange.”

Also back on the intense series will be Mark Duplass, Billy Crudup and of course, Reese, who’ll return as Jennifer’s Morning Show co-host Bradley Jackson.

Reese recently admitted that she’d love to see a series three which delves into a ‘post-quarantine world’.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Reese explained: “Even though that seems optimistic to say at this point, with people still dealing with the complexity of COVID and really what it’s doing to different industries.

“How the whole world has culturally shifted in so many ways; the way we communicate and work, the way we talk to each other — there’s definitely a lot to talk about and tackle.”

While series one and two of The Morning Show are available to stream on Apple TV+ now, we’ll have to wait patiently for a release date on series three.
