It's the moment bakers in the tent dream of, getting a handshake from Paul Hollywood himself.

One 9-year-old baker was on the receiving end of the accolade from Paul in the Junior Bake Off for 2022.

The talented youngster is Quique, from Devon, and he made a "clever" piñata out of biscuits for his showstopper.

It was the first Hollywood handshake of the series, and Paul praised the young baker for his "very special" creation.

He exclaimed: "I think this is amazing!" as admired the beehive inspired biscuits.

"Love the look of it, love the bee, and you’ve even put windows in there as well.’

Paul took a bite of one of the biscuits before saying in disbelief: "nine-years-old!" before offering the handshake.

Unsurprisingly Quique jumped for joy at the honour, as the other contestants reacted excitedly.

"That is very special, very clever, well thought through, well baked, great flavours" added Hollywood.

His fellow judge, Ravneet Gill, agreed: "I echo all of that. Incredible."

Understandably very excited with his feedback, Quique replied: "Thank you very much."

"I was the first person to get it, it was really exciting news!"

He was later crowned star baker for the week, and viewers were loving it.

Quique was also awarded star baker and viewers were living for the heartwarming moment.

"Quique’s beehive amazing… and he’s only 9yrs old. So glad Paul gave him that handshake" raved one viewer.

Another agreed: "OK, now I’m all emotional. A Hollywood handshake at 9 years old!"

Quique isn't the only nine-year-old this year, as he's joined by Lola and Olivia who are also nine.
