It's finally arrived. The long-awaited sequel is nearly upon us and here's a sneak peak at the tantalising trailer.

The Crawleys are off to the South of France 'to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa'. After the estate is taken over by actors and a film crew, where better to go than a mysterious home that was left to Lady Violet by a previous gentleman who she 'spent a few days with' once upon a time?

“Do I look as if I’d turn down a villa, in the South of France?” she asks enquiring relatives.

Nor would we.

The movie sees the return of favourites including the Crawley sisters, Lady Mary Talbot (Michelle Dockery) and Edith Pelham, Marchioness of Hexham (Laura Carmichael), and of course the infamous Lady Violet (Maggie Smith).

Alongside Smith, the cast will feature Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Penelope Wilton, Allen Leech, Joanne Froggatt, Brendan Coyle, Sophie McShera, Lesley Nicol, Jim Carter, Tuppence Middleton, Imelda Staunton, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Kevin Doyle and Harry Hadden-Paton.
