It has been announced that Stacey Solomon has a new gig.

News reaches us that the 2010 I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner is swapping the Loose Women panel for something more scrumptious, as she prepares to join the Bake Off: The Professionals team.

The Channel 4 show's official Twitter account introduced the newest member of their "petit fours-ome", sharing a photo of the former Bake Off contestant with co-host Liam Charles, as well as judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

Originally known as Bake Off: Crème de la Crème, 32-year-old Dagenham born Solomon's new job, Bake Off: The Professionals started life on BBC One in 2016. It followed The Great British Bake Off from BBC One to Channel 4 that same year.

Bake Off: The Professionals sees 12 teams of professional pastry chefs, plucked from the nation's finest restaurants and hotels, compete with each another to win the coveted silver platter. That and the eternal adoration of anyone who loves a sugary treat.

Earlier this month, the latest celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off announced it's new line up, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer. Names that will take up a spatula and compete for glory include the main show's co-host Matt Lucas, comedian Ed Gamble, Strictly Come Dancing's Motsi Mabuse, pop star Ellie Goulding, as well as a man who has almost certainly never eaten even a crumb of cake, Sir Mo Farah.

All of this talk of cake is baking us hungry. Sorry.

Bake Off: The Professionals will air on Channel 4 later in 2022
