A heartbroken Holly Willoughby was left crying on live TV during a debate about the horror of children suffering in Ukraine. With tears running down her face, her co-host Phillip Schofield made the sensible decision to cut to a break and give Holly a breather.
Ex Coronation Street star Nicola Thorp joined the discussion about whether the government were doing enough to help refugees flee Ukraine following Putin's invasion.
A weeping Holly had viewers in bits, with fans moved just as much during the difficult segment.
One viewer said: "I was patiently waiting for Holly to announce live on air she will take in the child she was just crying over. Perhaps after the break she will!"
Another tweeted: "There are some very hard hearted uncaring people on here, I absolutely can understand Holly crying, just as I do at every news report. Remember we could be in a difficult situation one day, who knows which way this war will go Putin has nothing to loose now."
One viewer pleaded: "Can someone PLEASE give Holly a hug."
Another emotional fan added: "Think I am gonna have to stop watching news about the war, it's so heart breaking hearing the stories about the kids fleeing on their own... Like Holly, I am crying. It shouldn't be happening, more needs to be done."
