This is just delightful. The public have melted over the Queen's 'lovely', 'glowing' face as she perused painted teapots and enamelled trinkets at Windsor Castle.

HMRH was presented the quaint items by Staffordshire company, Halcyon Days, following a postponed visit in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans were emotional to see the Queen looking so well during her first official engagement for almost two months after suffering from Covid in February.

Looking overjoyed and elated, fans took to Twitter to share their warmth.

One user commented: "Smiles on everyone's faces... how lovely. HMTQ brings so much joy."

Another added: "Look at her lovely smile."

A third wrote: "Great to see her looking well and smiling after all she’s been through."

One person penned: "This is wonderful to see! HMTQ looks so happy."

Other fans praised: "Bless her, love the Queen’s happy smile and excitement!" and: "She's glowing!"

The love continued with: "Good to see Her Majesty looking well," and: "So lovely to see her smiling. I just adore her."

One of the pieces included a lavender trinket box with three portraits of the Queen Mother. Another collection was inspired by her late mother's favourite flowers; primulas, pansies and Albertine roses.

Pamela Harper, chairman and chief executive of Halcyon Days, commented: "We are deeply honoured and the experience was simply fabulous."

A royal reporter Cameron Walker added: "The Queen is said to have particularly enjoyed viewing a display of hand-decorated teapots and antique enamelled trinket boxes, brought to the White Drawing Room in her home at Windsor Castle."
