It seems the big celebrity shower debate is very much alive and kicking!
James Corden was at the helm of The Late Late Show earlier this week, and left his audience stunned while talking about the recent shower guidelines set out in Los Angeles.
As explained by the host, LA residents are being advised to only shower for four minutes to help with the water supply, but James admitted he doesn’t even use that short amount of time.
He told the audience: “Shouldn’t be a problem. I know every time I’m in the shower, I time it to the minute. Cut it by four?! How long are people spending in the shower?!’
“‘If that’s the average, that means there’s people that are in there for 20 minutes! Oh my God, I’m in and out in a solid three or four.’
After James’ co-stars chimed in about the great shower debate, one of the Late Late Show staffers said her shower time is dependent on if she’s washing her hair.
In the surprising admission, James replied: “I use soap, but I don’t wash my hair. I wash it every two months. That is a true story.
“I don’t think we’re nasty… We’re trying to protect the planet. You know, there is no planet B!”
James has very much reignited the famous “celebrity shower” discussion after Hollywood couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher admitted they only wash their kids “when they see dirt.”
Then Kristen Bell admitted she’s a “big fan of waiting for the stink” before getting her kids in the bath.
James’ hilarious confession comes shortly after he announced his plans to leave The Late Late Show next year.
After telling his audience back in April that he had signed a new contract, he then said “that’s really only half the story on this one.”
He continued: “The sadder news is I’ve decided to sign for one more year on the show, and this will be my last year hosting The Late Late Show.
“When I started this journey it was always going to be just that. It was going to be a journey, an adventure. I never saw it as my final destination and I never wanted this show to overstay its welcome in any way.”
“I really think, in a year from now, that’ll be a good time to move on and see what else is out there.”
