The two stars of The Matrix go way back, with the film first premiering in March 1999, and Carrie-Anne Moss still has nothing but love for her costar and friend Keanu Reeves.

Speaking about the actor in an essay for Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2022, she called him 'unique' and 'known for his kindness and generosity.'

She said about her much-loved co-star: "In this often unkind and shallow world, my friend Keanu gives others hope.

"The actions of this handsome, talented, successful, and fiercely committed actor have become a reprieve from the constant disappointment we have for those who get put on a pedestal."

Recalling their first screen test, she remembered: "Keanu was just as he always is: kind, generous, and thoughtful," and shared that he's still 'the man who checks in on me during an intense training day just as he did then.'

Joining Reeves as one of the 100 famous faces making the magazine's annual list are Kris Jenner, Mila Kunis and comedian Pete Davidson, with each celebrity having a glowing blurb written about them by a peer or colleague.

Five stars awarded their own TIME cover for this issue include actor Zendaya, singer Mary J. Blige, actor Simu Liu, Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley and chief executive officer of Apple Tim Cook.
