She needed her son to explain he wasn't.
Beloved TV presenter Rylan and his mum Linda are sofa critics once again in the new series of Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox, which also features Joanna Lumley, Sam Ryder, Guz Khan and Oti Mabuse.
But last week, Linda left viewers in hysterics after she needed Rylan, 33, to explain Paddington to her.
Rewatching the iconic Paddington clip from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, in which Queen Elizabeth II takes tea with the adorable bear - played by Ben Whishaw - and sees the pair bonding over their shared love of marmalade sandwiches, Linda was left baffled at how Paddington actually exists.
"Do you reckon he’s there?" questioned a confused Linda, to which a baffled Rylan responded, "What?!"
Linda continued, "He’s not there, is he?" referring to whether Paddington was actually in Buckingham Palace. That said, she was in no doubt that Elizabeth II was the real Queen.
"That is the real Queen," she confirmed. Well done Linda!
"Yes, but Paddington is not a real bear," Rylan tried to explain, before it became clear that, while Linda was aware that Paddington wasn't a real bear, she did think he was a puppet.
"How does [The Queen] know?" she continued. "Can she see it talking to her?"
"No mum, because it’s not there," said her son, walking off. "I’ve had this chat with you before."
Can someone get a petition going for Rylan and Linda to get their own show please? Thanks.
'Celebrity Gogglebox' continues next Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
