Heart warming news from here in the UK as an English mum helps her family get over a really tough pandemic by covering the sitting room wall from floor to ceiling in a family photo collage.
Say hello to Louise Whapshott, who is a 46 year old mental health care-worker from East Hampshire. Her family had it pretty tough in the pandemic. Her 49 year old other half, Martin, ended up on a ventilator in casualty during the first lockdown and both their children are still recovering from chronic fatigue syndrome, the horrible echo of long covid for them.
So, in a feat of inspiring positivity, Louise started a collage, with 700 family photos. She ordered them in black and white and proceeded to cover the sitting room wall in a gorgeous collage to remind them of the happy times that proceeded and to draw their minds to the happy times that will be ahead. She turned a living room into a ‘loving room’ and pics of her wall of sentimental snaps have gone viral. Have a look for yourself!

A spherical story of survival from the Mediterranean as a Macedonian man survives an 18 hour ordeal lost at sea where he was saved by a football!
Say hello to thirty year old Ivan who was having a swim on his summer holiday but got swept out to sea by strong currents. Ivan is a strong swimmer but after hours in the hot sun he began to grow tired and was starting to fear for his life when, out of nowhere, a colourful football appeared and the current brought it right to him. Ivan clung onto the partially inflated ball for 18 hours before he was spotted by a Greek rescue helicopter and pulled to safety.
When news of his stroke of luck hit the airwaves it turned out that a pair of Greek kids had lost that ball while playing footy on the beach in Lemnos, 80 miles away! What an amazing twist of fate, while the boys may have cursed the loss of their ball, little did they know they’d accidentally saved somebody’s life!
