Jason Manford and Freddie Flintoff to star in new camping show

Cricketing legend Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff and comedian Jason Manford are teaming up for a new ITV show called Two Men In A Tent.

In the hour-long programme, the two hosts will go camping together, but this expedition will be no walk in the park. Rather, the duo will have the challenge of pitching up on the side of Mount Snowdon, which is Wales' highest peak.

A TV source told The Sun: “Getting these two together is a no-brainer for ITV bosses, though the random challenge might leave a few viewers scratching their heads as neither have huge experience of surviving outdoors.

"Fortunately Freddie does have some experience of working closely with a comedian, as he’s used to filming with Paddy McGuinness on Top Gear.”

The source added: “Though he won’t have worked quite as closely as this before, as they will be sleeping centimetres away from each other on their jaunt in Wales."

Jason shared some photos of himself on Instagram last month, although there was no mention of the upcoming show, and no sign of Freddie. In one post, the comic wrote: “Snowdon is quite nice innit?”

In a second picture, he said: “Beautiful day. Don’t know why Wales don’t mention how lovely their weather is! It’s gorgeous.”

The stand-up comedian has played some live gigs lately, and his tour continues at the end of August through to the end of November.

Meanwhile, Freddie’s new show, called Field of Dreams, has recently aired. In it, he attempted to create a cricket team from a group of youths in his hometown of Preston. He also hosts Top Gear, and presented The Games for ITV alongside Holly Willoughby.

At this stage, the date that Two Men In A Tent will air is yet to be announced, but is expected to premiere later this year.
