Pop and TV star Selena Gomez is set to tell her honest story in an upcoming documentary, My Mind And Me, sharing the 'highs, lows and everything in between' of her life over the last six years.
Posting the spine-tingling teaser on social media, the new feature will be directed by Alex Keshishian and will land on November 4 on Apple TV+.
Detailing her colourful past few years, the footage includes a mixture of a joyful-looking Gomez alongside video of her with tears streaming down her face.
A synopsis reads: “After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light.”
Gomez added on social media alongside the teaser: “My Mind & Me. We don’t get along sometimes and it gets hard to breathe. But I wouldn’t change my life.”
One fan commented: "I'm literally gonna cry right now, I'm so ready."
A second fan wrote: "I can’t wait to see it!"
"So freaking excited for this!" applauded a third.
"I feel like she’s going to highlight the importance of mental health with this doc more than anything. Usually in docs, the artist's life is the focus, as it should be. But I feel it’s going to be a lot different with this one. I am BEYOND EXCITED! More power to her," praised one viewer.
In May, Gomez opened up while speaking at the Mental Health Youth Action Forum hosted by MTV Entertainment at the White House.
She said: "Just to throw in a little bit of my journey, I felt like once I found out what was going on mentally, I found that there was more freedom for me to be okay with what I had, because I was learning about it.
"Bringing attention to mental health through media or just by talking about your journeys can help.
"It sets the example that it's a topic that can and should be discussed freely and without shame."
My Mind And Me will arrive on Apple TV+ on November 4.
