You may recall that, earlier this year, Cadbury launched a nationwide competition to see if people could work out the flavours of two new Mystery Bars for the chance to win prizes worth £5,000. Well, the flavours have now been revealed.

The snacks, simply called Cadbury Mystery Bars 01 and 02, were available in 43g single bars and the bigger 170g tablets, and consumers were invited to submit guesses online. People could offer one guess per bar, per day, and chocolate company helped by dishing out occasional clues online.

People have been guessing for the past couple of months, with people in London reportedly giving the highest number of correct guesses, while Birmingham and Manchester came joint second.

And if you’ve been wondering what the flavours were, then wonder no more…

The first flavour is rhubarb and custard, while the second is blue raspberry slushie.

Did you guess them?

Despite over 300,000 people taking part in the comp, only 6,861 people correctly guessed the flavour of the two bars. Those clever sleuths have now been entered into a draw to select two lucky winners.

As reported by The Sun, Cadbury Brand Manager Pippa Rodgers said: “We have been blown away by the widespread excitement and conversation around the Cadbury Mystery Bars competition.”

She continued: “It has been difficult trying to keep the flavours under wraps over summer, so we are delighted to be revealing the flavours to the nation and can’t wait to hear how excited our two lucky prize winners are!"

If you totally missed this competition, then don’t despair, because the Cadbury Mystery Bars are still available in stores nationwide while stocks last. Admittedly, the flavours aren’t so much of a mystery anymore, but we’re sure they’ll still taste great!
