He's tall. Get over it.

Former Pointless star Richard Osman is asking people to stop 'bodyshaming' him over his height.

Osman created the popular quiz show Pointless and presented it, alongside Alexander Armstrong, from 2009 until leaving earlier this year.

Speaking on the Diary of a CEO podcast this week, the 51 year old said, "I'm 6ft 7... my height is something that people can always see."

He went onto say that comments about his height, especially made out in public, make him feel "embarrassed".

The Essex born renaissance man said he was initially reticent to use a term like 'bodyshaming'.

He said, "But actually I think, 'Yeah, that's what you're doing, that's what people have done to me for the last 30 years – they've bodyshamed me'," he explained.

Osman also spoke about how his experiences made him want to stand up for marginalised people and communities who are being discriminated against "every single day just non-stop".

"I'm not being discriminated against because of my height. But I do know that every single day of my life I'm reminded of it," he said.

"To be a person of colour, to be differently gendered, to be all of these things, I know that the microaggressions I get, you're getting non-stop every day of your life, and in a much more harmful way," he added.

Consider us told.

The first episode of Pointless without Osman aired last month, with Armstrong being joined by Sally Lindsay. Pointless plans to have different guest hosts take over his role.
