The hugely anticipated adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s popular novel, Daisy Jones & The Six, is finally here, and here’s what we know so far.

The first episode has dropped on Prime Video today (Friday 3rd March), with episodes airing weekly every Friday, and if you’re after some 70s nostalgia and rocking music, Daisy Jones might be for you.

Here’s everything you need to know about Daisy Jones & The Six.

What is Daisy Jones & The Six about?

As previously mentioned, Daisy Jones is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and focuses on a fictional 70s rock band, who called it quits at the height of their fame.

Sharing echoes of Fleetwood Mac’s story, the leading two musicians finally decide to reveal the truth behind the band’s demise decades on, with the series detailing their drama on and off stage.

According to the official Amazon synopsis, The Six “had risen from obscurity to fame, and then, after a sold-out show at Chicago's Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.”

All the music within Daisy Jones is original music, created specifically for the series, bringing to life what The Six really sounded like.

Who stars in Daisy Jones & The Six?

Leading the band is Daisy Jones herself, played by Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley. She’s joined by Sam Claflin, who plays co-lead Billy Dunne.

Rounding out the cast are Camila Morrone, who portrays Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, and Tom Wright as Teddy Price, with a special guest appearance by Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.

For lead star Riley, who turned to acting rather despite her incredible family tree, she was very much in the deep end when it came to leading an entire band, but threw herself at the opportunity.

The Fury Road star admitted: “I brought no experience to this role. No, I read for the role and I auditioned and obviously, they said a huge part of this is singing. I had never sung before. I had no singing background. I never really knew what it felt like to belt out. And sometimes when you're an actor and you really want to do something, you'll tell them ‘yeah, I can do that.’”
