Love them or hate them, they're the Marmite of the veggie world. But it's good news for sprout lovers as top chefs are giving the humble green cruciferous ball a makeover and hosting London’s first ever Brussels Sprout Bar.

For one night only, Taste of London is coming to the capital on Thursday November 18 and giving diners the chance to try four different sprout based delights.

BBC Million Pound Menu winner Jay Morjaria is rustling up Korean corn dogs, made with deep-fried sprouts, gochujang ketchup, mustard and topped off with parmesan cheese.

Gunpowder’s executive chef Nirmal Save will be serving Brussels sprout fritters, with baby spinach, ginger, green chillies and topped with mustard green chilli.

Pip Lacey, head chef and founder of Hicce will be treating guests to deep-fried Brussels sprouts, served with pickled kohlrabi (a German turnip) and hazelnut mayo.

Food writer Ryan Riley will be serving Asian sweet and sour sprouts with diced pancetta - but you'll have to act fast. Taste of London at East London’s Tobacco Dock starts next week and the sprout-tastic pop up bar will land on Thursday evening.
