Do you know how to use the ‘secret button’ on the back of your iPhone?

We love a good i-opening surprise. One woman has blown minds by sharing a rarely known tech hack with her followers called the ‘Back Tap’.

Tech guru and TikTok-er @ellyawesometech wowed users by telling people about the iPhone magic racking up thousands of comments from excited people.

Elly starts by saying: "You’re using your iPhone wrong if you’re not using the back tap feature.

"Yes, there’s a secret button on the back of your iPhone," she continues, which she says helps her Shazam songs easily.

So how do we access it? Go to your Settings app, then click on Accessibility, then Touch, then scroll down and find Back Tap, where you can use 'single' tap or 'double' to get it going.

You can add shortcuts to your phone, use it to open other apps, take photos, use torch and many other helpful shortcuts, even more so it you use it with Apple’s Shortcuts apps and hone in on needs.

The bad news is that it only works on iPhones updated with the iOS 14 software and phones post the iPhone 6.
