Time for a new craze? The latest puzzle on the block is a mind-bending mix of Wordle and Absurdle. Welcome to our screens Survivle where the aim is to keep guessing the wrong answer with a limited number of guesses.

Free to play, it currently lacks a stat tracker or share feature and was created by user lazyguyy on Reddit.

It also comes with stricter rules. Similar to Wordle’s hard mode, you have to use letters you’ve correctly guessed on new attempts and you’re not allowed to use incorrect letters again.

He explains: "Inspired by Wordle, I created Survivle, which is like Wordle, except the goal is to take as long as possible to guess the secret word. The difficulty comes from the fact that all revealed information has to be used (don't worry, the computer will tell you if you fail to do so).

"This should work on most platforms, but it is the first time that I really tried my hand at web development and even though this is a comparatively simply project, I think it is inevitable that there are some visual bugs. I hope you enjoy the game! I found it quite difficult to truly 'fail' Wordle (i.e. to take more than 6 guesses)."
