Easter is right around the corner, and Marks and Spencer is right there with the seriously tempting chocolate treats.

The food retailer teased the release of their special edition Easter cake jar on their facebook page.

In a post to M&S - Hempstead Valley’s Facebook, they posted a mouth-watering picture of the Speckled Egg Cake Jar, set with mini yellow eggs and colourful sprinkles.

The caption reads: “Eggstra, eggstra! We know how much you all LOVE our mini speckled eggs AND our cake jars, so we thought why not go one better...

“Introducing our new limited edition Speckled Egg Cake Jar! Dive spoon-first into chunks of chocolate cake and Madeira sponge, topped with indulgent vanilla buttercream, Belgian chocolate sauce and – of course – our speckled eggs!”

The delicious post didn’t share how much the Easter cake jar will cost, but the popular treat usually sells for £4.

The new spring edition comes just after M&S announced their new Cereal Milk Easter Egg.

Inspired by last year's Cereal Milk Clusters, it's said to be 'extremely crunchy' with 'white chocolate egg that’s stuffed full of sugar confetti, marshmallows, cornflakes and cereal crisp pieces', and costs £8.

That's seriously sweet. Keep well away from any kids. Or adults.

Also on the Easter egg hit list is their Extremely Chocolatey Biscuity-Egg inspired by M&S’s infamous Extremely Chocolatey Biscuits.

The egg heaven is described as being 'more chocolate than biscuit, these chocolatey shortcake biscuit rounds are coated in smooth milk chocolate'.
