Cooking hack: Have we been opening OXO stock cubes the wrong way all this time?

We're not sure whether we feel delighted or dumb by finding out about this latest kitchen trick. If you're constantly making a mess when it comes to stock cubes, then this is the handy hack for you.

TikTok-er Megee100 shared the easy trick for opening OXO stock cubes instead of making a mess by crushing them in your hands.

"I don't know how many people know this..." she wrote alongside her video.

She then shared the hack with her followers and wowed users by stretching out the corners of an unsealed stock packet, putting it under a measuring jug and crushing it.

You are then able to neatly open up the packet, empty the nicely-contained crushed stock cube into a jug and hey presto. You're ready to kitchen rock 'n' roll.

Users replied to her question: "Well, now I do, amen to that."
