Fans are only just now noticing that Starbucks has changed their logo.

Have you noticed the difference?

Starbucks is one of the biggest brands in the world with one of the most recognisable logos.

You'd think we'd all notice a change, wouldn't you?

The mermaid tail and the green colouring all scream 'Starbucks'.

It turns out though that there have been some subtle changes that many people haven't picked up on.

The chain had a makeover back in 2011 after their 40th anniversary.

When you think of the logo, chances are you picture the 'Starbucks Coffee' text going around the edge.

That is no longer there, and many fans are confused when they realise it has gone.

The redesign made the logo simpler and sleeker.

Without the text, the extra space was used to increase the size of the mermaid.

They also changed the colour scheme too.

The black background was removed, and the entire logo is now green.

An Instagram video has gone viral highlighting the changes, alongside several other well-known videos.

Called "What in the mandela effect?", the creator compared the logos with a before and after.

"Most of them looked better than the new ones," said one commenter.

"All the OGs are best" insisted another.
