Veggies and flexitarians rejoice - you can now enjoy a meat-free version of a Peperami!

Dubbed the Vegerami, the iconic snack is now suitable for vegetarians.

They'll hit supermarket shelves this week, starting off in Tesco from May 9 before rolling out to other supermarkets.

If you get a craving when doing meat-free Monday, this snack will make life a lot easier.

The creators of Peperami have spent years working on the latest release.

They say it tastes similar to the original and has the same texture too.

It contains peppery herbs and spices to recreate the flavour you know and love.

The veggie version is made with a blend of pea and wheat protein.

They measure in at 64 calories per serving, and are high in plant protein.

So how much will they set you back?

The Vegerami three-packs have an RRP of £1.50, and can be found in the chilled plant-based section of the supermarket.

The company launched Vegerami Chick’nless Bites in 2021.
